The leadership of the Arab League has called on member states to end military and economic cooperation with the Israeli regime in response to recent attacks on Gaza.
Since Tuesday, these assaults have resulted in the deaths of over 500 Palestinians.
In a statement, the League emphasized that ongoing trade and military relations with Israel can be construed as complicity in the attacks on Gaza. The statement also highlighted the necessity for concrete measures to enhance Arab solidarity and protect Palestinian rights.
It is notable that following the controversial Abraham Accords signed in 2020, facilitated by the United States, several Arab countries established economic and military ties with Israel. For instance, the United Arab Emirates has signed various agreements with Israel in economic, cultural, and investment sectors, while Morocco has entered into multiple contracts in trade, arms, and education areas with the Israeli regime over the past four and a half years.
