BDS Movement Shares New List of Companies Supporting Israel

Çox oxunanlar

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement has recently released an updated list highlighting companies that it alleges support Israel’s occupation and treatment of Palestinians.

This list names several well-known multinational corporations, such as Chevron, Intel, Dell, HP, Carrefour, AXA, Walt Disney, Siemens, RE/MAX, SodaStream, Google, Amazon, Expedia, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Airbnb, Booking.com, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Papa John’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Wix.com.

The movement calls these companies “boycott targets” and “pressure targets,” urging individuals to participate in widespread boycott efforts and advocacy campaigns. According to BDS, the actions of these companies contribute to ongoing violations of Palestinian rights.

Notably, Chevron, Intel, and Dell are cited for their roles in enhancing Israel’s energy and technology sectors. Similarly, platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com are criticized for facilitating bookings in settlements considered illegal under international law in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The fast-food industry, including names like McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, and Burger King, has also come under scrutiny, becoming key targets in the boycott campaign. In recent months, the BDS movement has achieved successes, encouraging major institutions like Barclays and Norway’s sovereign wealth fund to withdraw their ties to Israel.

The overall goal of the BDS movement is to harness these campaigns to create economic and political pressure on the Israeli government, advocating for the rights of Palestinians.
