According to Sputnik, Majed Al-Ansari stated that the suspension of Qatar’s mediation efforts between Hamas and Israel was a result of the negotiators not taking the discussions seriously.
He added that Doha will not accept being used for political purposes and will act to resume talks if it detects seriousness from the negotiating parties.
Al-Ansari further emphasized that Hamas leaders are currently not in Doha and are traveling in various countries.
He also noted that any decision regarding the closure of the Hamas political office would be announced by the Qatari Foreign Ministry itself, rather than through other parties.
This follows a denial from a Turkish source yesterday regarding the transfer of Hamas offices from Doha to Ankara, stating that Hamas leaders are traveling in different countries.
