The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that it has carried out missile strikes targeting occupied territories in retaliation for the recent killings of prominent figures including Dr. Ismail Haniyeh, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Rashid Nilfroushan.
According to the IRGC’s statement, these attacks were a direct response to what it termed a violation of Iran’s sovereignty by the Israeli state, which it accused of being behind Dr. Haniyeh’s assassination. The IRGC also condemned the Israeli regime for its actions that have led to the suffering of the Lebanese and Gazan populations and the deaths of key resistance leaders.
The IRGC highlighted that the operation had received authorization from the Supreme National Security Council and had been communicated to the General Staff of the Armed Forces. It was carried out with the backing of both the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Ministry of Defense.
In its statement, the IRGC issued a warning to the Israeli regime against any military response to this operation, stating that such an action would result in even more severe and destructive retaliation. The IRGC reaffirmed its commitment to defending the rights and interests of Iran, promising to take necessary actions against any perceived aggression.
The missile strikes specifically targeted central locations within the occupied territories, with further operational details expected to emerge. This development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel and could have serious repercussions for regional security.
