A 12-year-old Palestinian boy, Muhammad Murad Ahmad Hoshiya, has died from injuries sustained a week ago during an Israeli army raid in Ramallah, the Palestinian Health Ministry has announced. The boy was shot in the abdomen by live bullets during the raid on Al-Amari camp in Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli force stormed the city of Al-Bireh, raided the Al-Amari camp, and the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood, resulting in seven people being wounded by gunfire. This is the latest incident in a series of violent attacks by the Israeli military on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Since October 7, at least 552 Palestinians have been killed, including 132 children, and nearly 5,200 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory. The Israeli military has been conducting regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated since the start of the war on Gaza last October. Palestinians have also faced violent attacks from illegal settlers.
The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and ordered Tel Aviv to halt its military operation in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
